What It's Like to Work With Us
I totally get it - it can be super nerve-wracking to trust a stranger with your business. You're handing your business baby over and entrusting us with some of the most important elements - and it's normal to feel nervous about that at first!
That's why I work with my clients to build a trusting relationship right from the start.
What's it like to work with Bonnie Bryant Creative? Well, I want to be one of your biz besties. I want you to trust me with your business voice and design elements, and to feel good about working together. It's super important that my clients feel comfortable giving feedback, ideas, and thoughts about the work we're doing together. If you get a really random, weird idea about your copy in the shower at 11 PM, I want you to email me about it right away and not feel like a nerd. If you don't 100% adore an element of your brand design, I want you to feel comfortable giving honest feedback so we can fix it.
To explain this process, let's use my fave 90's R&B song to go through the steps! Cue up Brian McKnight, everyone!
STEP ONE: YOU'RE LIKE A DREAM COME TRUE (aka: making sure we're a good fit)
When a client first emails me about working together, I begin with some light stalking :) I look up their website, scroll through their social media feeds, and try to learn as much about their business as possible to make sure that we're a good fit.
STEP TWO: JUST WANNA BE WITH YOU (aka: going out for drinks/coffee to learn more about you and your biz)
After deciding that we'll work well together and that I dig their vibe, I reach out to the client to schedule a date to meet up (if they're on Long Island or in NYC) or Skype (if they're further away than that). I take local clients out for cocktails or coffee so we can meet in person and get to know each other. It's basically like a friend date where I get to learn more about them and their biz! For far away clients, I send them a Starbucks gift card so they can get the experience of me taking them out for coffee ;) and have a fun Skype convo with them.
STEP THREE: IT'S PLAIN TO SEE, THAT YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE FOR ME (ok, this Brian McKnight metaphor is starting to fall apart at this point)
I've developed an in-depth questionnaire for my design and copy clients to fill out. Along with the notes I took at our meeting, it provides me with pretty much everything I need to know to get started on your project.
STEP FOUR: THE WORK BEGINS! AND YOU CAN KEEP TRACK OF IT.
Once I have all the info I need from you, I start working on your project. I also invite you to my project management software, where I keep track of every tiny step of the process, for both of us - from deposits coming due to logo revisions being complete.
If it's a random Tuesday at 11 PM and you're wondering what design element I've been working on for you that week, you can log into our project management software and see what's up. We like to be transparent in our process, so you can see exactly how far along things are. You're investing a lot of money into our services, and we want to make sure we're 100% open with what's happening in your project.
STEP FIVE: REVISIONS AND TWEAKING
We include two rounds of revision for each element of your project. Once all the tweaks have been completed, we're almost done!
STEP SIX: PROJECT HANDOFF
Once you sign off on everything, we're ready to hand off your final files! We send you all the brand design elements in high-resolution files for you to download, and all the copy is in a detailed Google Doc. We also send you our detailed brand design guide to show you how to use your spiffy new brand elements!
