Business Card Design for a Badass Attorney

When my friend Erin asked me to design her new business cards, I jumped at the chance! 

Erin is a badass attorney, working on a career advocating for survivors of domestic violence. She came to me needing some business cards for networking events. I wanted to create something that would set her apart from the competition, without being too outré (she'd be networking with attorneys after all - we couldn't do something too unique). 

I started by hand-lettering Erin's name with old-school paper and pen. I then digitized my hand-lettering on the computer, to smooth it out just a little bit. I then selected a bold sans-serif font for the rest of the text. (Obviously, the original card has her phone number and email on it, but I blocked it out in the photos since I don't think Erin wants her personal cell phone and email number all over the internet!) 

This business card sets Erin apart from other attorneys. The hand-lettering is unique and ensures that her name stands out, while the bold sans-serif text says that she means business!
