Ooh La La - More Parisian Inspiration

I'm dying to take another trip to France - but until then I'm just Parisian dreaming. Kind of like California dreaming, but more chic.
Confession: I don't like the whole "French Country" look in homes. It kind of seems theme-y to me, and themed rooms are a big no-no in Bonnie Bryant Creative land. You can be inspired by a certain aesthetic, but you can't turn a split-level home in the suburbs into a French chateau.
That being said, I love the simple, chic elegance of contemporary French design.
THE CLASSIC: Give me ten-foot ceilings, french windows original plaster moldings and herringbone floors, and antique mirrors and chandeliers.
THE NEW: Minimalist sheers and window treatments. Furniture with clean lines upholstered in elegantly luxe fabrics. 2" thick marble on all the countertops. Keep the walls white plaster and hang some killer contemporary artwork.
And of course, you need some skinny jeans, a leather jacket, and a cool hat!
